Rainwater Harvesting Technician Competency Framework

This competency assessment tool is designed to measure and guide the professional development of individuals working with rainwater harvesting systems. The framework contains a scale from 1-3, representing competencies at foundational, intermediate, and specialist levels. Level 1 is for technicians primarily involved in basic installation and maintenance. The specialist level applies to those providing training or consulting support in rainwater harvesting practices. The competency development process supports your progression as a more effective Rainwater Harvesting professional. As you expand your knowledge and skills, you will master new competencies and build confidence. If you are an individual learner, begin with a self-assessment, then move on to goal setting, working with a mentor. If you manage a team involved in Rainwater Harvesting, use this framework to define expectations, assess current capabilities, and guide professional development of your team.
