Sanitation and Hygiene Community Conversation guide

This activity is part of the Women Lead WASH for Healthy Homes Project in Central Ethiopia, supported by Global Affairs Canada. It is designed as a step-by-step facilitation guide for community conversations on ending open defecation, promoting the construction of latrines, and encouraging the installation of nearby handwashing stations. The guide provides structured discussion points, participatory activities, and practical demonstrations, making it easier for facilitators to engage communities and deliver consistent messaging.

Who Can Use This Guide: The guide is intended for Community WASH Promoters (CWPs), trained artisans, and local leaders, enabling them to lead effective discussions with households, youth groups, Women’s Development Army members, community elders, religious leaders, and Kebele representatives.
