Due to its experience in the region and in Colombia in particular, CAWST has is promoting improved sanitation for the rural and peri-urban population. Since this component is consolidated as one of the main gaps to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal - SDG 6: Clean water and sanitation. With the purpose of strengthening sectoral knowledge in this component, a mapping of trends in decentralized sanitation projects was carried out to make updated information available to the different organizations. This mapping includes the identification of implementation methodologies and lessons learned that participating organizations have developed in the last 3 years (2020-2023).
