Selecting a Drinking Water Container for Household Use

This resource includes a checklist to help you select the best water container option for your situation for storing, dispensing and/or transporting treated drinking water. Use this checklist to evaluate your water container options with the ideal characteristics a container should have and learn how to prevent the dangerous build-up of biofilm inside containers.

A Quick Reference Guide is included to help you compare the advantages, disadvantages, and cleaning recommendations for common drinking water containers used in emergency settings.
