This collection is intended to support people who facilitate WASH in School. It is based on the practical experience of the Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO) and the Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology (CAWST). It has been developed specifically for the context of Nepal.
This workshop is designed for managing WASH in school. This manual deals on maintaining the basic WASH requirements and upgrading the existing WASH facilities in schools to meet the standard guideline of WASH in schools. This workshop also deals on the roles and responsibilities that different stakeholders hold to manage all the WASH facilities required in the school.
In this training, participatory approaches are applied to ensure good learning environment and emphasis adult learning style. Participatory style workshop includes theory, classroom exercises, open discussion, demonstrations, and hands-on practice in the workshop. Active participant engagement in learning activities is highly encouraged.
